"GSC Game Plan"
on Little Rock?s 103.7 The Buzz / KABZ!
September 18, 2006Little Rock, AR: SportStar Management showcases its association with
the Gulf South Conference by bringing it to live radio! Join Grant Merrill
and Rex Nelson live for “GSC Game Plan”, every Tuesday from 7-8pm
on 103.7 The Buzz! The show debuts this Tuesday, September 19th.
Grant and Rex will highlight all of the past week’s action from each school
in the GSC, including game results and standings, statistics, GSC
Thursday night football on GSC-TV LIVE (CSS in Little Rock,
COXSPORTS in most of Arkansas), interviews with the coaches as well
as an update of other men’s and women’s sports.
“This is a real coup for us and a great benefit from the new partnership
with SportStar Management,” GSC Commissioner Nate Salant said.
“We’ve sought to increase our media presence in Arkansas for years
and now we’ve finally struck paydirt. Grant Merrill is one of the best in
the business and Rex Nelson adds to any broadcast, so we’re excited.”
The Gulf South Conference is comprised of 15 NCAA Division II schools
in two divisions. The WEST DIVISION schools are: Arkansas Tech,
Arkansas-Monticello, Harding, Henderson State, Ouachita Baptist,
Southern Arkansas, Delta State and Christian Brothers. The EAST
DIVISION schools are: North Alabama, West Alabama, Montevallo,
Alabama-Huntsville, West Georgia, Valdosta State, and West Florida.

103.7 The Buzz Program Director Justin Acri said today: “The Buzz has
long been the largest sports station in the state and we are excited to
expand our local programming to cover the state schools that are a part
of NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference.”
